Sir Brad... (why I oughtta.... heck, you don't wanna know...) Sports: Ever played before?
Whoever else claims that the Wings suck, that the playoffs are a so-called “crap shoot”, and whatever additional bullshit your last couple of posts bitched about:
Did you ever play a sport in your life, Brad? If so, you would stop your pansy-ass bitching and just understand - come to realize - that a group of athletes like the Wings are RARE.
A paycheck wont stop a puck. It'll just buy you a great massage after you do; will buy ya top o' the line free weights... and an Escalade.
This Red Wing argument is a no-win situation when you're trying to argue anything other than they are some of the best athletes in the world. They are the ONLY NHL team that carries more than 5 or 6 or 7 future Hall of Fame athletes.
They are athletes that carry such longevity when it comes to a 'one-team' sports career. “Statistically”, they are the best, and most respected. - Need I remind you of some of that proof: Steve Yzerman, Brett Hull, Brendan Shanahan, Nicklas Lidstrom, Derian Hatcher, and Chris Chelios... There is NOT another NHL team built like it. If you ask any pro-athlete, hockey player which team he'd cream his pants to play for - it's the Red Wings.
And it's due to the simple fact that they are in-sync with each other.
Brad – if you ever played sports in your life – that's speaking for 'any' athlete/former-athlete – you'd know that when you are on the field, court, or rink, with the best... you learn from them and turn in something comparable. That's common sense to an athlete. If you work with something less or the same, you'll remain that way as well.
On that note – Every team that plays against the Wings – always puts in a FULL strength game, due the knowledge that it's the Detroit Red Wings. Knowingly, the intensity of how the Wings play their game, records they hold, and being the best NHL team. Therefore, the Wings have that solidified, top-notch, strongest-played competition at every game. Every game is played full-strength.
WHAT THE FUCK – how can you say that you DONT love the playoffs? Its “the most” exciting and entertaining part of the hockey season. 7 to 28 hardcore, aggressive, intense, malicious and thrilling games.
Financially... talking salaries- refer to the Detroit Red Wing fans, please. The Wings have sold out nearly EVERY game for the past 12 years, if not all of them. (Kudos to Mike Illich, Owner of Wings and Tigers and well-liked/respected in Detroit.) I would say that the hockey industry is at the very bottom of the list when if comes to top-paid sports. Yes, they are one of the highest paid hockey teams and it's WELL, WELL deserved, to say the least. NOT comparable to the insanely paid New York Yankees. IS comparable when it comes to talent and athleticism
Using the poor excuse of having money to create an athlete, is a crock of bullshit. It buys homes, cars, elaborate and prestigious work-out machines, and physical therapists. It doesn't give you extending mechanical arms, robocop legs, or a Rambo-like pitch, swing, or goal-stopping puck flying at your fat face from motherfuckin' Brett Hull, who has played for/against/with the BEST ATHELTES in the world.
The WORLD.
Money “cannot” make an athlete .... a motherfuckin' Red Wing OR YANKEE... a better athlete. It'll only support and help in a great capacity, if that.
Listen – there isn't much to analyze – it comes down to this – and it isn't brain surgery here fellow NHL comrades:
The Wings simply skate the fastest, score and stop the most goals, create remarkable defense and offense, board smashers, crazy-quick deflecting, great agility, and impeccable passing ... Moreover, they are the BEST hockey team around.
