Reminds me of the discussion my band had last week. Is it "practice" or "rehearsal"?
practice = movie
rehearsal = film
My band practices, so I have to go with movie.

Yeah, "rehearsal" makes me think of a conductor tapping on his music stand while the cellos & violas tune up.

That's one of my favorite scenes..."Is it a CD player?...Is it a DAT?" Also for the classic Bob "I'll...have....a....jam..." "You mean jelly?" "Yeah, I already said it once...keep the change" line.

That congested, oafish Odenkirk character was one of my favorites from the show. Under-used, but devastatingly funny.

I only use 'film' for comedic effect like when talking about Caddy Shack or the like.

Also great as the persono working the photo counter when NASA comes into to pick up their photographs. "There's fingerprints on these pictures!" "Well...what kind of film did you use?"
