12Make her pizza. Everybody likes pizza.
175g strong (bread) flour, 1 tsp easyblend yeast, 1/2 tsp salt. 120 ml warm water, 2 tbsp olive oil.
Dough.
Mix and kneed for 10 minutes. Leave to rise in oiled bowl for a few hours somewhere warmish with a lose cover (tea-towel/newspaper/whatever).
Knock back, kneed again for a couple of minutes. Leave for at least another 30 mins or until you need to cook.
Sauce.
Sweat an finely chopped onion, a couple of garlic cloves (finely mashed) and 1/2 tsp of dried chillies for a few minutes until soft. Add 1 tsp sugar, 2 tsp balsamic vinegar, slosh of red or white wine is you have a bottle open (otherwise don't bother), a can of chopped tomatoes, 1/2 tsp oregano and season.
Boil for a minute uncovered if you added vino (otherwise no need), then cover and simmer for 30-40 minutes.
Test and adjust seasoning is necessary.
Make pizza.
Roll out dough on floured pizza tray (or large backing tray) until thin. Should be able to roll it to 35cm+.
Spread sauce.
Add toppings of choice and cheeses of choice.
Put in oven for 15-20 minutes at 220C.
Remove, allow to cool for 5 minutes, slice and serve.

Perhaps instead of cooking for her you should just let her graze in the yard.

16Get a couple of nice Halibut fillets, 1 or 2 lemons, capers, some white wine, a stick of butter.
Unwrap the halibut and pat dry with some paper towels.
Heat up a large skillet and saute the fillets in olive oil. You will want them golden on both sides but not dark, and the inside should be white and juicy. Put each on a plate, and turn down the heat to medium.
Deglaze the pan with some white wine, a pinot grigio will do nicely. Watch for spatter because its gonna get crazy. Scrape all the tiny bits of crispy fishy stuff off the pan and stir it around with the wine. Slice about 1/3 a stick of butter and put it in the pan. As the butter melts, throw in some capers. Let this sizzle a bit then turn off the heat.
Squeeze a half a lemon onto each fillet, watch for seeds! Then dump the contents of the skillet onto the fillets. You can add fresh ground pepper if you like. Salt could potentially ruin it, so take it easy.
She will be happy, if she likes halibut.

18I'm happy that halibut has been suggested. It was my first thought when a non "fishy fish" was requested.
Tasty. Never fishy.
Now I'm hungry.

Yeah, I hear you. The only girl I ever dated that was a picky eater just so happened to also be crazy.... the food thing did get in the way a bit but nothing compared to her having sex with my friend/roommate/bandmate within earshot. That sorta sealed the deal.... sorta...
Ah, youth!
