Thanks Adam! Most amusing. and it also cleared up something that happened to me a few years ago. I was in a bar with the only genuine 'rock star' friend I have and some mates and Stewart Lee came up and introduced himself to her by saying
"Hi, I am Stewart Lee, I was big in alternative comedy TV in the 1990s" to which we all did a "what?" kind of thing. I had forgotten his name and have constantly referred to him as Stuart Maconie when telling this story but it wasn't, it was Stewart Lee. Ta.
