Cocteau Twins: "Heaven or Las Vegas" and "Sugar Hiccup" and there's a couple more too.

"Toxic" is great.

The various melodies contained in "Dancing Queen" are for some reason emotionally moving to me. Esp. the "having the time of your life" to "see that girl..." section. I like a lot of Abba songs. I can even tolerate when they do fake-Spanish shit like "Fernando." Fuck!

Is "I Feel Love" gae? I think it is. That song is incredible.

For 2004, my number one pop single of the year is "This Love" by Maroon 5. It is so gae.

For 2003, my number one pop single of the year was "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera. It was also quite gae.

But I enjoy hearing both of these gae songs!

"Toxic" by Britney Spears is listed several times as a gae song that people like. However, please let the record show that this song is some of kind of nightmare horror trainwreck. It is not just gae, slight or inconsequential. It is a hall of horrors. This song is entering children's brains and helping form their opinion of music. This song is a disease.

"Toxic" is in an increasingly tight race for worst pop single of 2004 along with "You Don't Know My Name" by Alicia Keys and "Slow Jams" by Twista (feat. Kayne West and Jamie Foxx).

Jamie Foxx? Wtf?

"Milkshake" by Kelis strikes me as being the best strip club song since Motley Crue's "Girls Girls Girls".

Once again, I, full of shame and joy, will profess my undying love for "Head Over Heels" by Tears for Fears. Was there ever a more gae band? Aside from Erasure, Wham, and Culture Club, I mean.

I'm incredibly gae for "You Live You Learn" by A. Lanismore Yssete.

I'm marginally stupid for the gae summer hit "Every Day Is a Winding Road" by Cher Illkro.

There is no wrong in professing the gaeness for Kylie. I like the 3 singles I've heard, but think the winner is "Come Into My World" for combined song/video impact.

I was actually surprised on how much better the "Toxic" song by Spear Brittneys than her usual pap. Not gae though.

I'm happy to never have fallen under the gae spell of Depeche Mode.

Goddammit.
