Dear selftitled Elliott Smith record.

I bought you a second time around, because the needle of my record player pretty much ruined you from being played a gazillion times.

You are my special friend and i shared some of the best, worst and most intimate moments with you. You are a place i can always come back to and i am really thankful for that.
It´s such a fine line between stupid and clever.

Dear Sings and Plays from the Song book by Arthur Doyle,

With the best will in the world, I have to ask. What gave you the impression that you had the right to fuck with our DNA 50,000 years ago? Who in their right mind could possibly think it was okay to ignore Gene Roddenberry’s prime directive? No one, that’s who! Why did your pursuers destroy the planet Tiamat when they thought you were there? You know why! I mean did we ask for a deluge or an asteroid belt and a permanently traumatized consciousness. Thanks a lot for the defense mechanism / prison called the ego that humanity is now lumbered with! Hey, and close that pan-dimensional portal on the way out. Do you see where I’m going here?

Really, what were you thinking? "Grooveryn onna hillay after-noo-oo-oo-oon yeah!", possibly?

Forgive me if I’ve misjudged you and you are in fact one of the good guys.

WTF, you are awful but I like you anyway.

Mose.

Dear Getz/Gilberto

I'm terribly sorry that the cat puked all over you and that the stains won't come off. But rest assured that I love you no less. As the saying goes, you can't judge a record by it's cover, ey? Its the inner values that count. To me at least. I can't see anything coming between us now and forever.
thanks

Dear Spiderland by Slint,

First, I’d like thank you for your seemingly endlessly enduring mood altering properties, the shivers, the euphoria and the tears. But [sudden intake and exhalation of breath], y’know, you’ve been around a while now. I’ve worn out two going on three copies of you at this point. Painful for me as it may be I have to ask, is there anything out there that can do the same kind of thing you do only (I’m so sorry) better (in fact “merely” as good as the first few times would do). Please, it’s cold (just one solitary little tear is running down my face as I type this. Thank you, thank you thank you).

Best regards,

Mose (and many others  :?: )

Dear Warehouse: Songs and Stories,

Others might be tempted by your siblings; the flashy, brazen whore that is Zen Arcade, or the solid, dependable, always-there-when-you need-it bore that is New Day Rising, but not me.

Sure your drums are broken, and your bass is wretched and I know that you have several hideous blemishes, and that you're just too damn big for your own good, but after I met you everything changed and for that I love you damnit.

Kind regards,

Adam

Dear Will Play by Happy Go Licky,

You are difficult to live with in many ways. Many of your sounds are very harsh and shitty sounding. Many times I cannot understand you.

I do not see you often. But when you are around at the right moments, you are one of the very best. You have so much soul, which seems rare for something so wild.

Your artwork is very strange.

See you around.
