I am very fond of this record, beginning to end, and I never hear it discussed.
One of their keyboard players lectured me on human/animal perception in University 16 years ago. He seemed to have a brain the size of a planet, and I fancied his daughter something rotten.

Except for folks I've met via this forum, I only know two other people that like Silkworm, and one of them is my girlfriend.
I love the One Last Wish collection 1986 and that is never talked about. Easily supperior to Embrace and as good as Rites of Spring.

The Remains (a.k.a. Barry and the Remains): A Session with the Remains
This is a great record. The version of "Hang On Sloopy" is probably the best version of that song ever recorded.
I have expressed my love for Unsane's
Total Destruction many times. Chris Spencer doesn't even like that record.
Despite being in every cut-out bin in the planet, Crain's
Heater, is one of my favorite albums ever.

i agree about the sadly forgotten 'one last wish' album and raise you the happy go licky album 'will play'.
i'm willing to bet no-one cares about all of the tim kinsella projects i love, so i'm not going to bother talking about them again.

Dead Meadow is underrated altogether. Their
Got Live if you Want it bootleg is a lot of fun.
I have to go with
Phantom Planet by Phantom Planet. It's a gigantic rock record that everyone slept on. The guitars sound great, and it's worth listening to for the drumming alone.

I love Tim Kinsella's work no matter how arty or pretentious people may think it is. My favorite is Joan of Arc's "Live in Chicago 1999." Such a damn fine record.
