I've got to go with David Cross too - his first CD, "Shup up you fucking baby" was good, but his latest, "It's Not Funny" is fucking hysterical.

The one about Bush eating Jewish babies to see how much evil he can get away with (since he's gotten away with almost everything else) had me writhing in pain with laughter ("C'mere kid! *CHOMP* Mmmmm! That's good jew baby heart! Mmmmm!").

I have to kind of agree. My wife and I sat throught that 1st series DVD and it just wasn't that good. Remove the "bla bla bla, bitch" from everything and it plummets from there. Some good ideas, but not executed very well.

Ricky Gervais, so far, is unbelievably funny. I've only seen The Office, though, so I'm not sure if he's a one-trick-pony.

I vote for Robin Williams.

Unlike his one-trick-horse peers, he is an amazing impressionist and is highly skilled at virtually every form of humor I can think of (plays on words, physical comedy, etc.)

Also, whenever I have seen him interviewed, he is 10x as fast at coming up with hilarious responses on the fly as any other comedian I've ever seen interviewed.
