We're not playing at the Water Street this time. We'll probably be going on closer to 11. Somehow we're expected to be the biggest draw here and so the other bands have asked that we go last.

Go see Ty's show, then come out to Brooklyn.

If folks do come, please introduce yourself to me. I'd love to put a name to a face. Of course, seeing people at their shows is always a bit odd (I'm sure I'll be manic and wondering if the drum machine is hooked up correctly before we play), but even a "hi, I'm so and so" would be great.

I guess I'll take it upon myself to list NYC rock shows here that I think won't be on OhMyRockness or Todd P's site but might interest PRFers.

8/31-Year Long Disaster @ Crash Mansion

I realize this is on the same day as the free Battles show at South Street Seaport, but I think that's a pretty early show.

Year Long Disaster are a kick-ass trio featuring Ray Davies' son on guitar and vocals, the former bassist of Karma To Burn, and the Third Eye Blind drummer (talk about unexpected). They play dirty, raw, bombastic hard rock with heavy emphasis on groove and great chops. Highly recommended live act.
