I have had many friends that were deeply into the SCA. One of my old roommates used to make his own chainmail. Boy was it funny to watch him flail around in the backyard with his cardboard practice broadsword--not nearly as cool as the ninja-in-training next door neighbors.

I assure you that you are not. And yet, it is still just as funny as the first time~!

Seriously. These guys are funny. Imagine the comedy when someone you know gets their thumb split open because "we didn't pad that longsword well enough." Ha!

I was just talking to a friend of mine about going undercover into a LARPing community like this to do a documentary 'from the inside'.

The ones that involve casting magic spells are ace.
