I normally don't vote unless it's a Not Crap. Unless it's something that is just wrong (Metallica for example) - but these are rare.

There is something Not Crap about almost everthing, even if it is just a tiny little bit of NC in a lot of Crap (like Led Zep) - so don't vote the crap.

I feel bad about writing this, as I know I only play half the game. Am I CRAP?

I only vote if I genuinely like or dislike the subject being discussed. It kind of fucks up the tally if people vote when they're ambivalent.

I generally love or hate a film. Hating a film can be pretty satisfying. What I can't stand is if the thing is so and so. Makes me kinda hate it for the wrong reasons. I rather want to hate it for the right reasons. So, yeah, passion rules. Feel strong about things. However, there are things, like sports and stuff, where I don't feel anything at all, so I can't vote there. Everything to do with culture usually makes me feel passionate though. But hey, there was a time when I thought Barnett Newman was crap, so I'm always willing to learn.

But once you peep, where do chips more likely to fall? Is a crap or a not so? You not just of the only one who thinks, Mr Bad Stinx.

I prefer Not Crap stuff. The rest is a waste of time and energy, and I generally will only Crap subjects that I truly loathe.

i have wondered why people so tenaciously hang onto negative opinions.

hating something is easy. it also makes for a very small amount of things to enjoy.

that being said i really only like about 20bands tops. maybe 5 authors.

and in crap/not crap, i'm a not-crapper. if someone does one thing i really like, i'll like them forever.

but if a band it has to be an album not one song. same parameters follow other mediums. one novel, not a short story. etc, etc.


it's hard to make a quality product. those that blow me away with one album have every chance to do it again. those that let me down get the chance once.

i keep an open mind, i'll check out what might follow if people i like give a good review.
