Well at least Richard Thompson isn't on the list; he's rubbish.

I dislike most solos , but I love the one at the end of " 2 wrongs don't make a right" by Suicidal Tendencies , that's my favorite.
Bob Mould has also made a lot of good one on "Land speed record"

Yeah, this is the same old shit.
I'm personally highly tickled by the solo in U2's New Years Day, Duane's little break in the middle of the JL's Seasick, and Adrian Belew's video game insanity on the Talking Heads' Born Under Punches. There's surely more...
And yes, Eddie Hazel is still way too underrated and overlooked.

There is another - Palace Brothers' Horses
Indeed. In a weird quirk of fate, its possible my neighbour owns the guitar it was played on. Possible, but maybe unlikely...

The solos in "Breakin' in my Heart" by Tom Verlaine are beautiful beyond description. I only found out recently that the guy from the B52s plays rhythm on that.

Wow, another list kissing Jimmy Page, and Eddie Van Halen's ass. You would think after seeing all this brown-nosing, Dream Theater's John Petrucci goes to his closet and casually hangs up his guitar, never to be played again. Now that would be worth seeing.

That list is hurting. And I wish Joe Walsh was in there for something other than goddamn Hotel California.

Word. That's one of my favorites.
It's not a bad list for what it is: The Greatest Guitar Solos From Songs That Almost Everyone Knows. The majority of those would not be on my list: Guitar Solos That Wheely Knows and Loves.
I'm not a huge Soundgarden fan, but Kim Thayil played a solo on "Far Beyond The Wheel" that gets me every time I hear it.
And there's that live version of "What Goes On" from the Velvet Underground box set, where Lou Reed starts in on the solo like he forgot how to play guitar for a few seconds, and then rips like Lou has never before, or since, ripped in his life.
And Angus Young would be all over my list. And then there was that one solo that I played at Bob's Tavern back in 2001.......man, that shit was tight, yo.
