The most recent Imperial Teen record, On, is a stunning indiepop record. Catchy as hell. I always thought their previous records were kinda boring, but this one is phenom.

Also, Menthol's Danger: Rock Science! is infectious new-wave Cars-style pop that will have you humming along for the next three months straight.

Also, Cheap Trick's record from last year, Rockford. They released it themselves, which makes it indie.

the ones i dont know from those lists are..

Major Organ & The Adding Machine
Teenage Fan Club
Chavez
Mooney Suzuki
Starlight Mints
The Walkmen

Teenage Fan Club - get Bandwagonesque, speaking as someone who is not a big pop rock fan, this is the best pop rock album i've heard.

Chavez to me isn't really pop, but it's got a ton of catchy hooks. Great 90's rock band.

Mooney Suzuki...what can I say? People Get Ready is a fine addition to any garage rock collection. They are great live. I saw them at the Empty Bottle and they had the entire place dancing (a large feat, I assure you).

Starlight Mints are in that sorta Pavement category: quirky pop. I wouldn't say they sound like them, they just have a fun atmosphere to them. I suppose the closest thing to them would be Beulah (though I think Beulah is pretty boring).

I don't know much about The Walkmen, but everytime I hear a song when I have my iTunes on shuffle and think, "this is pretty good," it tends to be the Walkmen.
