I was about to start a new topic close to the subject of this one, so here's an attempt at a hi-jacking.

I recently acquired (cheap and like new!) a TEAC A3300SR and I love it. I've been using it in conjunction with a digital Boss recorder, and a piece of shit Fostex 4-track cassette recorder. I've got a cool little sound, where I record the basic low end shit (and drum machine, a TR606) on the digital Boss recorder, then run that into the cassette recorder where I add guitars with a lot of high-end, then run that into the TEAC where it seems to gain a bit of mid. I like the sound, although it is very strange. I now want to get what's on the TEAC onto a CDR, but I was wondering in your opinions, would a TEAC into a standalone CD burner (with a mixer in between possibly?) sound better than through a computer? I try not to use computers very much for recording simply because I've never found a program I liked.

Recommendations? Guidance? If you're going to suggest computer recording, would it be possible for you to recommend a program as well?

Also, we're talking simple little home recordings, nothing special.

it's not multi track, but it records stereo, and is particularly suited to dealing with single mono or stereo sound files.
