I wanted to be blown away by his new one; instead, I just like it. Same goes for "Internal Affairs." The dude is dynamite on the mic, & his (boom-bap loyalist) beats are solid. The "Terrordome" semi-cover on "Desire" is fan-fricking-tastic, Mr. Bigglesworth.

Great lyrics, great flow, great MC. Just needs some work polishing his albums a little better. Not crap at all!

He's still the same dude after all these years -- I feel like his style hasn't budged and inch, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. NOT CRAP!

"Infernal Affairs" was the street record of the year in NYC when it came out, and I had high hopes that Monch would get some much-deserved mainstream shine. Then: bupkis! So it goes.

Stretch's blog and old WKCR shows have had me in a fog of 90's nostalgia for months now. People ask me "what rap are you feeling right now?" and I answer "Kurious, Pete Rock, some Nas demos".

If we keep this up, we'll have to go over to Soulstrut and start threads about David Yow stories and Harmonic Percolator tips just to maintain the balance.
