Love my Memory Man... fucking LOVE it.

Those things are pretty great.

I might be pressured into getting one of these things by some people I've been playing with. I've currently got a Boss dd-5 or something. Sounds kinda crappy. I've heard good things abou this Line6 Echo Park especially as it pertains to the DL4. Anyone get to play with these three things and able to tell a poor man what to do, if my will caves?

Nothing beats tape delay. I hav an echoplex and think it is the greatest thing ever. You can hear the sounds streching across the tape. It is quite remarkable.

The drawback of Roland or Boss gear is that they are not true bypass for the most part.

Real Tape delays are great. Fulltone makes a great echoplex knock off. If you have $800 bucks to blow on a delay.

I use an old akai headrush. They have a cool tape modeler. It can be kind of harsh but after some tweeking they can sound great. Not very tape-like though.

The only two pedals of this type that I use anymore is the DL4 and the Deluxe Memory man. If just for the built-in tap tempo on the DL4.
