Dylan wrote:There's a concentric groove hidden track on Mr. Bungle's Disco Volante vinyl - whether or not you hear it depends on where you place the needle. But the songs is about a secret song and it's kind of silly, so that one is okay, too.

I remember that one! The funny thing about the "Secret Song" thing is that the record was done and that track (which is just on the cd) was supposed to be an instrumental.

"Scummy" Spruance recorded the bassline while the bass player wasn't in the studio, and he was miffed to some degree. So, he snuck into the session and made up those stupid "grampa simpson" vocals without the rest of the band's knowledge, hence the "I didn't get to play on it at all/They kicked me out of the band" lyrics. They didn't know until they got the masters back. Pranky!

Back to the point-I had this Sonic Youth 100% 10" on bright orange vinyl and the tracks were grooved concentricly (that's not a word). However, the color of the vinyl made it so difficult to see where the grooves were, in all essences, all of the track were secret.

Royal Trux had those 30 second pauses in between songs and the disc was broken up into four tracks. Everything was secret until I heard the songs. It was no secret that they sucked.

Crap.

Yeah. Fuck skits. That Kanye West record actualy has two skits in a row.
Asshole.

What on earth could be more fun than waiting ten minutes to hear what more often than not is a bunch crap that some stupid fucker didn't even like enough to put it on the album proper? Maybe eating a bag of dicks. Just maybe.

I've got a Coltrane CD on Impulse! that does this. It has been the first and only time I've heard JC speak.

Does anyone know how this can be done? I've searched the internet looking for the answer before, alas, in vain.

Thanks.

I hate when I own a record for a long time and don't know that there is a negative track. Then again, I'm excited to get 'Screamin' and Hollerin' the Blues' out tonight to look for the hidden tracks.

Versus' 'Two Cents Plus Tax' and the new Pajo record both have negative bonus tracks.

I thought he was making a joke, saying some of the tracks are shit, hence the quotes. I could be wrong though.

The European CD version of In Utero has 'Gallons of Rubbing Alcohol...' about 20 mins in. Scared the shit out of me.
