I have been listening to Medulla all weekend and it is possibly one of the most avant-garde albums put out on a major label in quite a while. I am in loving it mode.

I do not like the way she uses her fans for her own finacial good. The way she constantly releases 4-5 versions of the same single, with one extra track or remix on each so that the "real" fans have to buy them all. And we all know that the "real" Bjork fans buys them all. I think it is egoistical, greedy and bad. Especially when you listen to the remixes and realize that they basically all sound the same.

I bought Post on a whim the other day, after hearing hyper-ballad in a bar. It's rather enjoyable, but I don't think I'll be buying Medulla anytime soon, acapella bothers me and reminds me of those creepy guys who sang the theme song for "Where in the World is Carmen San Diego".

i still like 'debut' best out of all her stuff. the song 'there's more to life than this' is a bizarre thrill for me to this day. recorded in a toilet. remarkable.

NOT CRAP with one waffle factor - dancer in the dark, which i found harrowing beyond belief. an oddity - a great film i would not recommend anyone to watch.

I have gone back and listened to "Vespertine" a few times recently. There are many incredible songs on this record.

Alright.

Yes, she may be a dork BUT:
There is NO ONE else like her.
Her music is as close to high art as you will find in her genre.
It is also pretty damn flawless and can be, if anything, arrestingly gorgeous to the point where I have to turn it off.

So, if she is guilty of anything, it is being too good. The world isn't quite ready for a Bjork yet, methinks.
