I am a fan of the YOB, substitute beef for gardenburger, and subtract the bacon.
OR the Motorhead with the gardenburger. mmm
Not something you'd wanna eat everyday, but on a special occasion it can be a nice indulgence.

hench wrote:this place is so good.... do the mastodon with chicken tenders instead of burger - it's fucking awesome, especially with a rogue chipotle ale or two. not crap.
that's a serious move getting the tenders, I'd always wonder but I'd never have the balls to go for it that burger is just too good and I know it is.
What kinda tenders are we talking exactally?

We went to Kumas tonight before practice and enjoyed some fine beer, no burger, too crowded.
a hot waitress remembered me from when I went in and ate last week and said hi, that's fucking class. Solid fucking class.

Best burger i've ever had. The ground beef they use seems to be very high quality & lean. I've never felt uncomfortably stuffed after eating there. The pretzel bun is fabulous too. As i'm typing this, i'm realizing that i haven't had a burger anywhere else since i started eating them at kuma's. I don't eat burgers very often anyway, but i figure if i'm going to have one, might as well have the best.
The beer selection & the metal is super cool too. I like the fact that anytime i've been in there, the metal isn't earsplittingly loud. Just loud enough that you can say "dude! i love this mastadon song!" or whatever. I'm fascinated by all of the tatttoos on the employees too.
So not crap.

Okay, they make an excellent hamburger there, and it's right down the street, which is nice. I hope they do well.
But any discussion of good hamburgers on planet Earth really needs to include Boston Blackie's. The best hamburger ever made.

Strictly speaking, shouldn't the Hatebeak sandwich contain marinated parrot breast?
That's a very cool menu though. I'll add this place to my 'to-do' list for when I visit Chicago.
