I tried to ignore the Asimov-lite qualities, and the Big-Willie-Stylings (actually, not too bad, but who really would exclaim "Awww-hellno" in that rap patios when robots are jumping all over your hood, versus "HOLY SHIT!!"), to just focus on the directing talents of one Alex Proyas, he of Dark City - one of my favorite sci-fi films.
