Off the top of my head:
Neil Young - Tonight's the Night
Shellac - At Action Park
The Jesus Lizard - Goat
Minutemen - Double Nickels on the Dime
Slint - Spiderland
The Beatles - Revolver
Smog - Knock Knock*
Teenage Fanclub - Bandwagonesque
Nina Nastasia - On Leaving
Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
The most obvious list in the world. Oh well. Fuck off.
Just because these albums are "perfect" doesn't necessarily make these albums my favorites...it's just you can listen to them all the way through and be totally engaged...except for perhaps Kind of Blue, but jazz music is weird.
Also, Teenage Fanclub is good.
*Knock Knock might be easily exchanged for Red Apple Falls depending on the day of the week.

Gang of Four - Entertainment
Rapeman - 2 Nuns...
Sweep The Leg Johnny - Sto Cazzo!
Tom Waits - Rain Dogs
Captain Beefheart - Clear Spot
Bonnie Prince Billy - I See a Darkness
The Fall - Dragnet
The Jesus Lizard - Goat
Bilge Pump - Let Me Breathe
The Stooges - Fun House
Most of that list would've been the same 4 or 5 years ago, which proves the point I guess..
