Holy Shit!! That first Mom is the living embodiment of the crazy mom character in the movie, About a Boy.
Good for them for raising their kids healthy. However, you don't have to be this extreme. Kids should eat more natural foods of course, but some cheese and meat now and again aren't going to kill them. This is an extreme measure for raising healthy kids which in the long run will ostracize them from their peers and possibly create an unhealthy psychological issues. Great your kids a healthy vegan but not you've fucked up their social skills. I mean come on that mother is right out of, About a Boy. Carbon Copy!!
Parents should just cook more and feed their children more natural foods. god knows how many parents are raising their kids on TV dinners, ready made products, and fast food. but this hippy vegan bullshit is not the answer either.......in my humble opinion...

Isn't it the case that if you raise your kids vegan from birth that their digestive systems don't develop the enzymes necessary to handle and digest meat, dairy, and poultry? I've heard stories second-hand of people who were raised vegan from birth and would get incredibly sick from just accidentally eating a bit of something that was in a brownie or whatever.
Seems that if that's the case, it'd be sort of mean to basically just take that choice away from your kids.
Vegans, please correct me if i'm wildly off base here. I'm totally being speculative as my evidence is merely anecdotal.

I too was wondering how one could get so fucking fat on a vegan diet. Excellent observation. That's the chick who is straight up the woman from, About a Boy. I am right!!!!!!

My girlfriend never puts sour cream and milk in guacamole, and she makes some of the best guacamole I've ever had. She just uses avocados, plum tomatoes, chopped onion, cilantro, and a spice mixture called Lantana Jalapeno Salt.

I make guacamole too and I never put milk, or sour cream in it. Although I sometimes use tomatillos instead of tomatoes (gives a nice little bit 'o' tang to it!)

Even typical crap like soda, and potato chips are vegan. She could be eating that stuff, and gaining weight. Hell,
Oreo's are vegan! I was shocked when I read the ingredients list. No animal products in it. Not even in the "creme".

I have been a vegetarian for a year and a half, and although I don't crave meat or like the idea of eating it, I'm now seriously considering going back to the flesh and bone. It seems like I just cant get enough essential vitamins and minerals like vitamin B12 and Iron. I try to eat as much spinach, nuts, seeds, all that shit, but I'm always tired and drained, looking fucked up and skinny.
I seriously couldn't force a vegan diet on my child, I think it's a terrible thing to force anything on your children, especially something that could slow it's growth, or make it a social outcast.

Why not just take a daily multiple?

It might not even be your diet. If you eat all kinds of vegetables, grains, nuts, fruits, you'd be getting your vitamins. Even cereals and stuff has B vitamins. All the cereal products, like Kellogs and shit, are by law, enriched with vitamins. You could always try supplements.

Yeah, but supplements seem so artificial to me. I can't even take a paracetemol without thinking that I'm gonna fuck myself up in the long run. Yeah, massive hypochondriac, I know. I'm not giving up on vegetarianism, but it's not a walk in the park. Meat eaters take it for granted. Cunt’s.
