I really didn't like their set yesterday. Do they sound different on record? Was it a bad day?

Their show at the Hideout this weekend sucked, but I saw them outdoors during a beautiful sunset back in '99, right after that album "2" came out, and it was amazing. They were so good then. What the fuck happened?
