I met him last night. He seemed nice. I told him I couldn't hear the roto toms, and he should try coated heads on them,.

He may not have been as nice if he knew I was the schmuck that yelled out "MOBY DICK" in the middle of one of the long tuning breaks.

I went to Feed ( chicago and california, very good chicken and catfish ) for lunch around 1pm on Saturday, and Mr. Che and what looked like the rest of Don Cab came in right after us.

He was friendly toward the staff. I think he ordered a pulled pork sandwich. End report.

Even if aaron had answered "yes," and personality and style were analogous, this wouldn't mean personality and style are inseparable, would it? An analogue has a sufficient but not a necessary relation to its target. For example: the plum pudding model of an atom. Assuming it was an appropriate analogue for an atom, plum pudding would still be cognitively separable from a single atom.

But I suspect this isn't really your question. Maybe for many people, style is a reflection of personality. But this is not necessarily true. For example, Nietzsche was a polite recluse, and a hard-working and disciplined classical scholar, but his prose style was often flamboyant and confrontational.

I don't know fuck-y'all about Damon Che's personality, but he seems accommodating enough:

Damon Che wrote:We acknowledge the older stuff, too. We have a rotating menu of the oldies, though it’ll mainly be new material. But I got so much shit for playing in my underwear, and whoever had a problem with that, you won. From now on, it’s all sweatpants.

and then, some french guy wrote:Be regular and orderly in your life, so that you may be violent and original in your work.

He's eccentric with his nonsequiturs, but who gives a hoot? He can play the drums like no one else and I like it. Don Cab has made some eccentric and interesting music which I like, and I really could care less about what the hell Mr. Che is doing.

I second that, by the way.

I tend to think that the term "gives a hoot" is indeed Faux-Ass Nonsense.

I wish there were some way to read this Chunklet tour diary without buying that back issue for fucking 75 dollars. Eh? Eh? I don't know, Damon isn't half as dreamy as Williams.
