I don't think bands should be allowed to form at all.
I know it means returning to the days of Backalley Band Practices and rock shows in unsterile environments, but it's what God wants.

Hey don't shoot the messenger kid, I'm just throwing it out there.
The fact is, I just don't think most bands have a second album in them. Well, most bands don't have a first album in them to be honest, but that's for my 'Bands should only be allowed to release one single' post. Out Soon.
ps Nirvana's best album hasn't been released yet.

i think that first album should be the deciding factor of:
1. if the debut even gets to be released
The first album is the debut.

ummm. Fugazi. Tom Waits. ummm... like a billion more. Holy shit, did I just drink one too many Magners and jump in to a baited post? Please allow me to prostrate... Fugazi and Tom Waits suck. I have no taste in music. Magners sucks as well. I have no taste in drink. Sorry.

Not a baited post my friend. I've pondered this for some time. I know there have been many good post-debut releases but I think it would be an interesting scenario.
Oh yeah, Fugazi don't count here (forgot to mention that!)

yeah if you think this is baiting you should try actually considering the idea.
i'm not saying 'screw highway 61 . . . etc', cos they're all enjoyable albums, obviously. but i still think music would be much better.
