I'm gonna move to Logan Square or somewhere close next year...if the hipsters overrun it, I'm gonna bust some yuppie skull in an animalistic bout of total confusion.

Hahaha...as long as I can blow you hahaha.

But seriously, your idea is a good one...no crime = good time.

The "hahahas" indicate real world laughter.

Abstractly speaking, my experiences with "hipster chicago" have resulted in the impression that people seldom show any interest or appreciation for anything not already embraced by the rest of the country, act embarrassed of anything out-of-the-norm or audacious even among hipster sects, and often champion their own mediocre formulaic/generic crap for no other explainable reason beyond it being "their own".
It's like there's an expected behavior among scenesters there, and anything that shakes that behavior is shunned or looked down upon.

Being a hipster in chicago equates to aligning yourself with thousands of people who dress the same, act the same, think the same and listen to the same shit. Nothing stands out so much as it is tolerated for being of yet another genre. Nobody is sincere or stoked about anything so much as merely accepting of subversive marketing. It's like they've thrown in the towel on even trying to be rebellious, creative or attempting to distinguish individuality among the masses. There's just something depressing and disingenuous about the whole city's culture that I can't handle.

Not to mention, The Cubs fucking suck and The Bears have roughly 2 years of competative football left in them before they lose all their players and are done for.

I can tell you that EA Chicago and Hipster Chicago are two very different sects...EA Chicago of course...ist not so beeg.

In addition, the age of Albiniland is often much older. When it comes to music, I get along with practically nobody around my age. Wisconsin is the same way, motherfucker...I've lived both sides of this bullshit.

I wish that even this board would get more behind some of the smaller bands, but it's their loss. I love going to nearly empty shows that kick my ass.
