I once dated this girl for a about a year and a half and we both loved TWP. We even got to watch them together from the backstage at the Metro (fucking amazing). On occasion I would buy her any single or album that popped up at the local record store in order to fill out her collection. The irony is, when she dumped me I had to re-buy all my favorites in order to listen to David's break up songs.
TWP = NOT CRAP
She is a pilot, so the re-purchase of Saturnalia just to hear Jet Girl over and over that long cold winter = both CRAP and NOT CRAP.
[deep breath] Its cool, I'm over it.

Well, the Wedding Present have a new album- I've only heard the 'Interstate 5' single, but it's pretty good. Might have to pick it up...
What is up with the new fangled/reincarnated/reunited craze? Anything's possible now...

"Take Fountain" is the new record, recorded by Steve Fisk in Seattle. Ex Wisconsinite and cool girl Terry de Castro is playing bass. I hope to see them soon.

Yessir. The girlfriend and I shall be traveling to see The Wedding Present at least once the next time they tour.
I'm currently waiting for my copy of
Take Fountain to arrive in the mail...

I heard the new album yesterday, and I like it -
although it's nothing more than i expected from David Gedge,
which was slightly disappointing.
Anyway, I love the Wedding Present (and Cinerama)
far from crap
