I would recommend the book "Coming of Age in the Milky Way" by Timothy Ferris to anyone that is remotely interested in space. It covers the history of astronomy from the Sumerians to string theory in a very accessible, non scientific way. Really a great book.

Just wrote a paper recently on Space Time.... Interesting stuff...

Cosmic Strings, Gravity Wells, The measurement of Muons, Magnetic and Non-Magnetic Domain walls.... All really cool.

Most scientific theory on space is based on how light is effected by Mass, or how it relates to speed....

Its amazing how much we have learned with the power of observation.

I'm nuts for space stuff, but that's kinda mutated into a healthy interest in string theory and a grand unification theory.

I'm currently soaking up as much as I can on particle entanglement. The space applications based on entanglement theory alone are amazing. The interesting ideas I've recently read about are the 'no teleportation' and 'no time travel' and 'no clone' theories...

Space just gets get bigger and bigger, both physically and figuratively..
