If it's based on offensive numbers, it has to go to holliday, but hanley ramirez seems an interesting choice. making the post-season didn't seem to be an issue last year. If it's all around play, then it really has to go to rollins who is really a more complete player.

nonetheless, if I had to put money on it, I'd put money on Holliday. However, I do think Rollins should win it, but he probably won't.

but then again, I'm the guy who'd rather see a pitching duel and manufactured runs than HRs. HRs = boring baseball

It's worth pointing out Holliday's home/road splits:

Home: .374/.433/.726 (1.159)
Road: .301/.371/.487 (.858)

although I would like to see Prince get the MVP and Braun get Rookie of the Year I have to agree with the person that gave it to Holliday and Tulowitski. Although it could all come down to how Braun and Fielder play down this final stretch. If they can run the table and put up the numbers whilst the Cubs go to pot then you have a debate.

It should be Holliday. Top 5 in all of the triple crown categories, playing great the last month. What hurts his chances is the notion that offensive numbers are inflated in Colorado, and the lack of national attention the Rockies get. This recent 10-game winning streak should help with that. If they make the playoffs it'll really help his chances.

And if giving 'extra credit' to Fielder should the Brewers find themselves in the playoffs, one should also remember to deduct for his July numbers (3 HR, 10 RBI in 26 games), a month in which the Brewers saw their 6.5 game lead over the Cubs disappear, making this final push necessary in the first place.
