A day in Studio A of Electrical Audio with Steve Albini costs a total of $1250. If we take a reasonably long day as being 12 hours then we can deduce that Steve's hourly rate is in the region of $104.17.

Tad Donley is a mere $45 per hour - Bargain! For that you get the Neumann U87 and SM58. Electrical Audio doesn't even have a U87. It only has one SM58, Tad has several.

I think Steve is feeling the pressure in the project studio market here a bit. Steve could learn a thing or two from Tad. It's time to lower your prices - tape is old technology, Nuendo is where it's at.

SM-57's and SM-58's - I'm sure one of my bandmates will use "workhorse" to describe them in one of my dreams soon.

That's not a band, that's a life long struggle of a few dudes who are not coming to terms with failing to make it on the Sunset strip.
