So far we know the amp is not a Traynor, a Fender, a Mesa, or an Ampeg.

If it helps narrow things down any, the guitar, amplifier, and speaker cabinet all cost under $900, total, for all three.

That more or less rules out Marshall right there.

I'll give you the "or similar". It's not an SG or an SG clone, but it's more similar to an SG than any other guitar except maybe a Les Paul DC.

The amp is nothing like a JC-120.

There are no effects on the amp other than gain and EQ, and there are no effects pedals turned on. There are a few in the signal path, but they're all off.
