when he hopped out of the little burrow and started shaking the dirt off his coat and his huge ears, I thought I was watching a cartoon...

It says that they are endangered... I can imagine that tail is a liability when predators are seeking out a meal. He has a built in rope to drag him back out of the burrow.

I wonder what they eat?? vegetation?? maybe bugs??

We need to get these into captivity and keep them around. I could see people keeping these as pets.
