craigslist is definitely 80-20 but there are a lot of people looking to join and start bands so you're bound to find someone worthwhile. i did.

all you really need to do is get some of your recordings up on myspace and put a link to it in your craigslist post. if i'm searching I'll search craigslist for names of bands I like. if i'm posting i'll put a link to a myspace page with me playing styles i want to base a project on.

good luck dood, it's really not too difficult.

new yorkers - get in touch with liam - he's an exceptionally good songwriter and bass player and one of the best musicians i've had the pleasure of working with.

You might want to add he has a very weird off putting yet great voice. As it was one of my favorite parts of the bands he was in with you...

I think he plays the skin flute, the one-hole harmonica and the cock-n-balls.

excellent... I'm more into "touching tips" but it'll work.

go to the shows of local acts you like, chat them up, ask them if they have any recommendations of players. basically, make friends with people who make music you like.

Go onto message boards where there might be like minded people and post what type of things you're looking for/into.

Hey, you're already 1/2 way there!

PS - Sorry if I sound a little cranky about this. Some asshole just hit me with a fucking rock.
