I remember reading about, and possibly seeing (not sure if I ever saw the footage) of James Randi challenging him to do the phone book trick on live TV. Randi suspected, correctly, that Geller was directing a small stream of air at the book to make the pages turn. So he sprinkled some styrofoam peanuts around the phone book.

Geller made some bullshit excuse that the lights made the styrofoam build up static, and it was disrupting his "psychic" energy.

I love James Randi.

It wasn't Geller, it was some minor league con-man with a martial arts mysticism angle named James Hydrick.
