Heh - I was just thinking about that the other day - would it be more difficult or less difficult to play this game with the sound muted? Just press your fingers when the silly dots cross the line...

I tried to play this the other night at my friends house. Since I already knew some of the songs on a real guitar I thought it would be really fun. Found it seriuosly annoying. It feels like they emphasize the wrong beats. Felt unmusical.. instead of playing to the beat I'm watching little glowing dots. When I listened to my friends, when they hit that little paddle thingie it sounded off beat, but they got really high scores.

My brothers got it for me (PS2). It's alright. Slow Ride was the first song on the list at the very beginnig of the game. It's fun, jumpin' around and outrageously overusing the whammy bar. I can't get past the "battle" with Tom Morello b/c the solos I have to play are not music. Fuck you, Tom Morello. Asshole.

I love all the curmudgeons hating on this game, especially after never playing it. Did you guys forget what it's like to have fun or something?
And yeah, Raining Blood is hard. Oddly, Black Magic Woman is probably the most fun I've had playing that game.
