I've found mine to be a lot nicer than those epiphones.

since you are already over in england, maybe check around for an used gordon smith? im sure they are probably pretty reasonable. i have unfortunately never played one, but i have heard nothing but good things.

Nah, Gordon Smiths are rough. Nice quality guitars but the finish is horrible for a sweaty greasy man and the stock EMGs are nasty, nasal pickups. I had one for years. My first guitar in fact.

A 'lawsuit' copy is either 'pre lawsuit' or 'post lawsuit' and it refers to the countless brands of Gibson copies coming out of one or two factories in Japan from the mid 70s onwards. I have a nice SG from this era and Ibanez did some amazing Les Pauls.

I've got a 96 Les Paul studio lite in trans blue. 496R & 500T humbucking pickups. I might be up for parting with it. It also has a bigsby that was installed by Tom Murphy about 8 years ago. OHSC.

would you want an agile standard, lawsuit copy? it was my first guitar. I haven't played it in quite awhile. it's a descent player, but it's a fixer upper for sure.
