A couple of years ago, I was riding in this guy's car and he played that version of "Imagine" by A Perfect Circle.
Now imagine me wanting to commit suicide for about four minutes.

13You're a good man, Fly, but I'm pretty sure this thread is unique in opening up the possibility of hypothetical suggestions.
Life is like a box of chocolates.
You never know when Tom Hanks is gonna say something stupid.

I was immediately pissed off.....and disgusted.....but then I realized that it was actually kinda good. Sure it was a pop-hooky version, but they had all the harmonies dead on. I'm pretty sure none of them were actually playing their instruments though.
Regardless, that was the first/last time I ever listened to HANSON.
(don't punch me)
You made me look up this video.

They just look like talented kids having fun and, sadly, I really dig it. I can feel whatever "hipster" was in me shriveling up and dying.
What the fuck have you done to me?

16ok, I really like the paper chase, alot, alot but they did a cover for a police tribute, "wrapped around your finger" and it's pretty bad. I can't blame them for trying...
the blood brothers covered "under pressure" their version is completely awful. why would they even consider it?

17Returning to the hypothetical, a Guns 'n' Roses cover of Wire's "Map Ref. 41°N 93°W" would be pretty bad.

I enjoyed these, especially the drums at the end of Alec Eiffel.

I'm mildly ashamed to admit that this is my favorite Metallica song, but I gotta be me.

Is this off the "Dynamite With a Laser Beam" tribute record? That whole thing is a waste of resources.
I am fairly certain at a show in D.C., over the PA system, I once heard a cover of a band that could have been Metallica covering "Loverman" by Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds. It was disgusting. Hopefully the whole thing was a nightmare.
