i just wanted to pass along a little "thanks-a-million" blather, too, will. you've put to rest a long-open question of mine, and filled in the blanks with more shitkicking crain, best of all. thank you thank you thank you.

Thanks yourself, sir. And thanks for fixing those broken links. It is very nice to hear Speed again. My vinyl copy that I bought oh-so many years ago was great, yet it had permanent crackle on it.

The other stuff, as well, she's-a verry nice.

For all of you that are itching to see/hear/hold a legitimate copy of Crain's debut album, "Speed," we're reissuing this album – for the first time on CD – with 4 bonus tracks, including a song from the same Albini sessions called "Fuckerman," as well as three more tracks recorded during the same era in Washington, DC by Don Zientara. The whole beautiful mess is currently being remastered from the original master tapes in Ventura, CA by the delicate hands of John Golden. A release date has been set for April 2005. The reissue will not be available on vinyl, sorry.

Thanks,
jdv.

V.Cool! It's hard to believe it took 10+ years for someone to issue Speed on CD... My original vinyl pressing sounds like shite, so it's a most welcome release. Now if someone would finally issue the Slint live record...

I've offered to release an anniversary set that compiles everything (the Aviary cassette, the Three Little girls single, the b-sides and the BBC session), but justifiably they have a respectful allegiance to Touch and Go. So if any of you ever see Corey Rusk at a bar or an Easter egg hunt, hassle him about doing it!
