In some thread they mentioned The Peavey Bandits as a band name. that is a great band name.
do The Bassholes count? they don't have a bass player.
about 808-state, there are lots of song names from several electronic artists from the 80s and 90s that mention gear. they make instrumental, electronic music, they are nerds, it's common that they use their equipment for inspiration. so you see lots of 303, 606, 808, 909, and so on. same as that blues guy who called a song "bla bla bla 335"
