Breakfast is for sure, but it shouldn't be limited to typical breakfast food.

I prefer second breakfast.

I like breakfast as a concept. However, I never actually eat breakfast. I skip it.

I prefer breakfast in the context of "breakfast any time", which might possibly be the best three words in the English language.

Why the combination of items available in an all day breakfast can't be made available in the same combination after 11am in some places is beyond me. Are people afraid that if we have access to breakfast 24 hours a day we may never properly start the day? Do they think all these reports that we put off til after lunch will never get done? A pivot table is a pivot table no matter what the hour. Are we somehow not responsible enough to cope with having breakfast at 3pm? Who made these rules? Who do I need to write a letter of complaint to?

I like dinner. I like to dine. The sun is going down. There's some candles lit. A light breeze. Some nice music playing. Just got home from work. Fry some fish. Whatever's in season. Some wine.

Dang.

what Benny said

Usually I woke up around 11/12 these days, so I just have lunch, then around 5, 6 I'll have some cookies with orange juice and then a nice dinner at night.

If there was a BRUNCH option, I would be all over that. I LOVE brunch.

As it is, I also think breakfast wins. I love to have a gigantic breakfast. I typically eat heavy for breakfast and have smaller lunches and dinners and snacks.

Wiki speaks the truth:

English: 1463, from break (v.) + fast (n.). Cf. Fr. déjeuner "to breakfast," from L. dis-jejunare "to break the fast." The verb is from 1679. The English word derives from the concept that sleep prevents eating, thus an involuntary fast occurs during sleep; this fast is broken by the first meal - called breakfast.

Dinner. I have a small breakfast, usually a small lunch. Then dinner, where I can make elaborate meals for me and my woman. :D
