I might see if you can get Tamura transformers for the PM1000 - that's the Yamaha originals, and they don't tend to be that expensive.

slight hijack,
does anyone know where i can get two pots for the Pm1000
one is the center tap eq pot.
another is a 5k? for the output volume?
they got cracked during shipping and i've no spares.

Yes I found a Tamura for $30.00. I received a reply to a post on another forum from a guy that owns a Fleximix desk and he says they do not have output trnsformers on the channel strips. Any comments there???

$30 is ok. If you've not got one already, I can tell you where to get one for $20.
I don't know about the Fleximix desk. I'm assuming it is probably balanced out at the 2-buss, but not at the output of the channel like you say. You can either run it pseudo-balanced or probably add a similar transformer to the Tamura model at the output to balance it. Or add a balanced-driver IC like the SSM2142 if you are confident.
