That makes no sense to me, I mean there's real music and bad music and early Patti Smith is most definitely real music.
Even if you don't listen to it all the time there's a certain level of respect for music of such daring and power.
To just dismiss it as nothing special, that's not right.

I don't listen to a lot of Hip Hop but like certain bits and pieces. Kanye is the most beige sounding shit ever.
