Slint all the way. Unlike a lot of people round here now I still think Slint are fucking amazing and they remain one of my favourite bands of all time. I love that lazy sort of rock music.

I've always felt disappointed by Mogwai, I only ever like 3 or 4 songs off each album and always end up hearing each LP after a million people have gone on about how fucking amazing it is. They're a good band and I like them, but I don't rate them as highly as everyone else.

Mogwai was the first "serious" band I got really into after getting really into Radiohead. Then I listened to Slint later because I heard what a big influence they had had on Mogwai. I mean, obviously, I like Spiderland a whole lot, it's really close to being a perfect record. I suppose I should vote for it for that reason alone, but I don't really listen to Slint or Mogwai anymore, and when I did listen to them, I listened to Mogwai a lot more often. I guess it appealed to my sensibilities more. This has been a very boring way of saying "I'm casting my vote for Mogwai."

You people are high. They're two totally separate bands that are incomparable. I like them both in their own ways but Slint is something absolutely unique.
