Yeah, do it! I intensely dislike getting my hair cut and normally leave it to get a bit too long, but then it feels SO much better when it's short.
I got sick of mine the other week, and took a pair of scissors to it myself. I'd never cut hair in my life before, but it turned out alright!

If it's a question of overcoming the boredom, would you get more mileage out of putting your hair into different styles and whatnot? After all, one trim and the fun would be over.
Or gradually shorten two inches per week or something. Dunno. Just ideas.
