same here. I like them but always figured why buy this stuff, other people put it on so often.
there are some bubblegum songs I like from the 60s like 'Dizzy' by Tommy Roe or 'These Boots Are Made for Walkin'. if I'm on a car trip and I only have the radio I try to find the 50s/60s station or better yet the 'oldies country' station though those are pretty rare in the midwest. even if the songs are horrible there are usually some cool sounds in there and I can occupy myself thinking about how the records might have been made.
