Sounds like the name of a psychedelic band that would play at a dance in junior high...except that the principal made them change their name for the event.

I mean, when they ask and you just say stare blankly and say, "Jeez, guys...I don't know," that's about 50 times worse. I'm taking it that the tune didn't jazz or thrill you.

Say it reminded you of the Mall of America on it's opening day for some reason.

"Brutal Teabag" should probably be kept in mind.

This can't be the first time that a band asked "What do you think of our song/music?" in a roundabout way.

Certainly, a name like "Brutal Teabag" would allow one to keep their distance. Makes it obvious that you're more interested in expanding the vocab.

I named their song "Mellow Stampede."

Was that mean?

If that's the first thing that rolled across your brain, then no, it's not meaning. It just sounds a bit silly after the fact.

If they asked, and you spent a second thinking in your head, "what's a douchebag song title for this douchebag song?"; then yeah that was mean.

So what were you doing?

I'm guessing you're just overthinking it.
I've seen the bridges burning in the night.
