you posted a great example johnnyshape, but generally the my initial reaction when seeing someone doing a cover on youtube on their guitar/ bass/ or drums is WHY? do they really need the praise? if so why not do a gig and film that?

My only waffles are that i discovered the music of Andy Mckee this way.

I was going to vote crap, but i see the options are carp or non carp. so Im going with carp.

Loving this new carp/ non carp game!

Although I can't think of any I've seen that were earth-shatteringly good, it seems like a pretty great medium (YouTube that is) for sharing stuff that really doesn't merit CD production/concert...

Certainly beats teen-blogs.

NOT CRAP.

Are there not already way, way too many CRAP 'musicians' inflicting their awful, indulgent CRAP on tiny audiences of their friends and family across the globe?

Seems like recording your song on YouTube and forgetting about it shows far greater self-awareness...
I walk these streets, a loaded six-string on my back.

It's kind of annoying though when you're looking up a song or band and keep getting videos of some daft cunt sitting on his bed strumming away on his acoustic into a webcam. Or two girls singing along. Especially if you start watching it before you realise what it is.

Crap. WF - if someone has really tried hard to learn a song most people couldn't play. Or that dude who played black metal drums in his office.
