Maybe you should get one of those ZZ Top belt straps so you can do the silly spiny thing they do. That would be hot!

no, those spinny ones have no TONE. You need a leather one. Here i'm using it in a demonstration.

Somewhere, off in the distance, I just heard that damned fly's head implode.

What does that even mean?

I feel like I'm missing something, but what does the guitar model have anything to do with the strap? why would a strap be good for a tele and not for something else, or be good for another guitar and not for a tele?

Perhaps it was a word play about Levi's jeans?

I have a black nylon Levi's strap, with the Levi's logo just like their denim stuffs. it's a fine strap, just like all my other virtually-identical straps. they all work fine. if the holes for the strap button connection get widened big and loose, you can just use the Grolsch gasket trick and you're fine. those things will keep any strap on, even with huge holes in it.

Wow. Everybody and there mother made a comment about the strap. Thanks guys. I think I am gonna go with the comfort strapp. The only thing I was saying about the guitar model is that teles seem to pull down more than my les paul thing. That has more weight in the body than the tele does. So it doesn't go headstock first into the pavement or carpet depending on where your playing. Sg's are much worse though. New thread. What guitar has the worst case of headstock divebomb disease that anybody has played.

Obviously it's a cheap guitar, but I had an aquaintance who had a standard Mexican Strat. He once dropped the headstock to the ground (not intentionally of course) and it slightly cracked from the top of the headstock to the first tuner.

And relating to the original topic, from separate sources (including the story above), I understand that some Planet Waves straps can be terribly slick.
