Because most people can't police themselves as well as you can. Like that cocksucker in the SUV you punched in the face three times.

Problem is, police arrest those assholes all too infrequently.

Cops do a lot more than you think. Just having the idea of them, makes people not do shit. If there were no cops it would be fucking chaos and you know it.
People are fearful of them, and most people who are afraid of them act much like you do towards them.
I am not a fan of cops by any means but a society without them would not be something I would want to see.

I never talk to police, the only thing I say is arrest me or let me go, and I have gotten arrested but who cares, it never went on my record, nothing ever happened, and most of the times they just let me go. It's a lot smarter especially when you know three people who were convicted of serious crimes, for something they did not do, for speaking to cops and DA'S.

I think some of you are completely missing the point.

It has nothing to do with whether or not you like or respect the police.

But you can still simply not talk.

(these two things are not mutually exclusive)

You don't have to be a dick about it, if that's the concept what is bothering you...

I would suggest that you can be perfectly calm and polite and still refrain from blabbing out words that can be used against you later.

It's easy to forget sometimes - I know I have occasionally said things during traffic stops that didn't need to be said - but after taking a little time out of my busy day to watch those videos (and remembering EVERY advice from EVERY lawyer EVER) I am going to not be so sloppy in the future.

Q: "Do you know why I stopped you?"
