It's awesome that you're willing to turn a blind eye to something that's not in the spirit of the constitution, and not mind that your taxes go towards something so ridiculous rather than be used in a constructive way simply because it annoys you.

You should be given a radio show.

Absolutely no chance.

Barney Frank is making a kind of side line out of initiating legislation for lost causes. He recently sponsored a bill to overturn the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIEGA), which prevents financial institutions from doing business with offshore internet gambling sites. That had no chance either, but by taking a stab he guaranteed the support of poker players and internet businesses, many of whom have millions at their disposal for political contribution.

Don't get me wrong, he's on the right side of both of these issues, but nothing will come of either.

I agree that I should be given a radio show.

Marijuana and its adherents bore me to Topeka.

But please tell me that you are kidding.

Please tell me that this casual toss-off of a comment is not your starting position for the legitimacy of any type of public policy position.

You see, if "annoyance" is your starting point for the legitimacy of any type of public policy position, then you are nothing more than a judgmental loser with a perspective on public policy that extends no further than your nose.

God, "annoyance" turns into "health" turns into "public safety". And then the cuntz carry the day.

You know, I once refused to make the "slippery slope" argument based on my respect for the crazy concept that is "logic" -- and with the assumption that reason would impose itself upon the generation of federal, state and local law (e.g., in re: gays, guns, drugs, etc.). However, and with the knowledge that there exists the likes of motivated and craftily-funded lunatics who seek to enact laws based on personal preferences (or, more scarily, the collective indifference to such preferences), I take nothing for granted.

Take this shit casually, and you'll soon be ordering your 10x-priced cold gruel at "your neighborhood" Applebee's as you watch a fat white "Christian" woman high-fiving her friends as they turn the key on the lock of your rock club.

We are well past the point of the luxury of accusing one another of paranoia.

Guard your little liberties with the ferocity and singlemindedness of a mother grizzly. And defend with rusty bayonets those folks who would do what they wish to do, even if it chafes your hide.

Please trust me on this point.

And I am a remarkable shot!

I really hope this passes. I know it is somewhat naive to think it will, but I will hope nonetheless.

I have been dealing with Crohn's disease for roughly 6 years now, and could find no dietary or prescription alleviation. I now have found precious little relief in a combination of diet, immuno-suppressants (imported), and anywhere from 6-9 mg of melatonin, daily.

Oh yeah, and coffee helps me poo.

So I've read that medical marijuana can ease flare-ups. Even with my suppressants, if I accidentally ingest soy protein I am screwed. Down for 3-5 days, minimum. Anything that will help me maintain a semi-normal life, so I can keep a job, raise my daughter, etc., I will support.

Aside from the waste in gov't spending, the targeting of black Americans, the whole unnecessary "War on Drugs"....this one affects me personally.
